Waitlist & Referral Terms

These Waitlist & Referral Terms apply specifically to The Verdict Room waitlist, referral links, public pre-launch status page, and the private My Rank page. By joining the waitlist, you agree to these Waitlist & Referral Terms together with the site Terms of Service.

1. What the waitlist does

The waitlist records your place, generates a public alias, stores a hashed PIN for private access, and may generate a personal referral link. Depending on our active stack, some queue/referral data may also be synchronized with an external waitlist provider such as Waitless (wt.ls). Joining the waitlist does not itself guarantee product availability, pricing, or reward eligibility.

2. Optional marketing emails are separate

Joining the waitlist and opting into optional marketing emails are separate choices. You may join the waitlist without opting in to future marketing emails. We may still send strictly necessary service messages about your waitlist spot, private access, or referral flow. If you opt in to marketing, you may be asked to confirm your email address before marketing emails are sent.

4. Public status page

The public pre-launch status page may display aggregate counts, public aliases, ranks, or referral totals. It does not display private email addresses. If external queue/referral synchronization is enabled, displayed rank or referral totals may reflect provider-synchronized data. We may limit or remove public leaderboard features if needed for privacy, anti-abuse, or operational reasons.

5. Private My Rank access

Access to the private My Rank page requires your alias and PIN. You are responsible for storing your PIN safely. We store only a hash of the PIN, not the PIN itself.

6. Changes or closure

We may change, pause, or close the waitlist or referral program if necessary for legal, technical, anti-abuse, or commercial reasons.
